Question: How can I get an oil stain out of a polished concrete floor?
Answer: Although polished concrete is a very low maintenance floor and protective treatments are most often applied to polished concrete floors, they are still porous floors that can absorb liquids. Therefor, to remove an oil stain, there are a few things that can be done.
- Use our Citra Pro degreaser. This is a highly concentrated degreasing product that will help you emulsify the oil. If there is a topical polished concrete guard product on the floor, this may need reapplied. This would help you restore the original look.
- Alternatively, you can also make a poultice paste out of demataceous earth and denatured alcohol. You can apply this to the floor and wait for it to dry. Once it does, it will help pull the oil from the floor.
